[haul] @OVS: Essence and Shaka

I think Essence has a weird way to distribute its products (or at least this happens in my area): last month they released a lot of new products, but after few weeks in a couple stores I visited the displays were already half-empty, and not just the “super cool” colors were missing, but also the not-that-popular ones, as yellow.

Today I went to a different store and...Surprise! Essence display was in usual poor condition, but there were plenty of polishes that other shops were lacking of (numbers 90 and up - my guess is that they didn't mind sending "a little bit of everything" to all stores).

I was so excited I grabbed almost all of them :-) plus the star magnet (in my usual store they had plenty of the "stripes" kind, whereas here there were just the “star” one) and a cuticle remover I never saw before.

Then, to compensate all the warm colors, I bought also a couple “cold” Shaka polishes :-P.

Shaka is a new cosmetic line just launched from OVS: polishes seem pretty and are quite cheap (€ 1,99 for 5ml) so I'm really eager to try them, even if being a case of private label, I suppose they won't be that different from Ever ones (same bottle except cap, same label and most of all same manufacturer); at least they cost 50% less.

BTW I decided to fix a maximum monthly budget for polishes (I spent a crazy amount for the precious bottles last year), so this will be my last April purchase :-( 

What about you, polishaholics all over the world? Do you fix a polish budget (a certain sum, a % of your incomes) or just follow your desires and try not to feel guilty thereafter?

Le politiche distributive della Essence mi lasciano spesso perplessa: anche nel caso dei nuovi Colour&Go sono rimasta stupita da come gli espositori fossero, dopo neanche un mese dall'uscita, già mezzi vuoti e mancassero del tutto certi colori.

Oggi sono stata in un OVS diverso dal solito e anche qui espositore spennacchiato (e mal messo, odio la gente che spalma lo smalto sull'espositore), neanche una Trend Edition in vista MA c'erano tutti i colori che non ho trovato né a Pordenone (Coin, di solito fornitissimo) né nel mio OVS, cioè quelli dal 90 in su.

Ho trovato anche il magnete a stella (ce n'erano tanti solo di quel tipo, mancava l'altro, che invece abbonda da me)...Deduco che invece di spedire un po' di prodotti per tipo a tutti, mandino dei lotti a casaccio: mi rifiuto di credere che le ragazze di Udine Sud e Pordenone abbiano saccheggiato i rossi-fucsia-giallo mentre quelle di Udine Nord li abbiano schifati.

In preda all'entusiasmo e forse per reazione al tempo nuvoloso, mi sono portata a casa una manciata di colori solari (sì anche il giallo, non so nemmeno io perché) ma ho compensato con degli Shaka (finalmente ho trovato l'OVS che li vende) super freddi (ciao Roby!).

A proposito degli Shaka, devo ancora provarli e spero tanto non siano semi trasparenti, ma su due piedi mi sembrano i fratellini degli Ever (notare boccetta, etichetta e soprattutto produttore :-P), fortunatamente costano metà (€ 1,99 x 5ml).

E con questo sono arrivata alla soglia del mio budget smalti di Aprile (sì, ho deciso di mettere un tetto massimo alla spesa mensile, per non trovarmi con cifre inimmaginabili a fine anno).
