NOTD: Catrice 680 Khaki Perry

Never judge a book by its cover...And never buy a polish by its name! Unfortunately Catrice sometimes comes up with funny/silly names I find irresistible, and this is why I own Khaki Perry (launched with Modern Muse collection but actually part of the permanent line) and soooner or later will adopt also Rambo n. 5; anyway I know at least another blogger that has the same weak point (ciao Stregalice!).

In bottle it is quite nice but I just didn't like it on my nails: it's a light green/grey with golden shimmer that are not that visible on nail. And it's a frost, with the usual brushstrokes issues; two coats in my pictures, I don't recall a bad application but my index nail seems not to agree on that.
Sorry for lobster hands, I took pics also outdoors and it was damn cold!

What about you? Do you ever bought a polish just because of its name? Anything to recommend or advise against?

Cosa ci fa scegliere uno smalto? Credo contino colore, finitura, brillantini (per le appassionate), marca (per le fan di certe case)...

Il nome non dovrebbe essere importante, no? Invece io Khaki Perry (uscito con la Modern Muse ma parte della collezione permanente) l'ho portato a casa solo perché mi piaceva il nome assurdo e so che prima o dopo cederò anche con Rambo n.5 (ma non sono l'unica a subire il fascino dei nomi Catrice, vero Stregalice?).

Dalla boccetta sembra carino, un grigio-verde chiaro con shimmer dorati, ma una volta steso l'amara sorpresa: gli shimmer si vedono poco, in realtà lo smalto è un frost e quindi segni delle pennellate come se piovesse.
Due mani nelle foto, l'applicazione non era male (anche se il mio indice sembra voler dimostrare il contrario). Scusate le mani rosso aragosta ma qui fa un freddo cane!

E voi, avete mai comprato uno smalto anche solo per il nome? Avete qualcosa da s/consigliare?
