I love water decals: they offer the opportunity to "spice up" a mani without having to deal with konad plates (which I enjoy using, but my messiness makes it quite a long procedure so I don't do it unless I know I have a lot of time to do, redo and then clean up).
These are the "stripe" decals I received from Born Pretty. They are all on a single sheet but the exact reference of these ones is BLE 1301.
Adoro i water decals: sono utilissimi per dare un tocco in più ad una manicure (o magari a coprire qualche pasticcio) e non richiedono l'utilizzo di plates e stampini vari. A dire il vero mi piace anche lo stamping, ma data la mia pasticciosità per farlo ho bisogno di parecchio tempo, tra stampare, sistemare (rifare) e poi alla fine pulire tutti gli "attrezzi" (soprattutto se ho usato lo smalto nero, che finisce dappertutto ed ha un potere macchiante incredibile). I decals invece sono abbastanza veloci e soprattutto non sporcano! Questi "a strisce" li ho ricevuti da Born Pretty, sono venduti a fogli interi "misti", anche se per ogni tipo c'è il riferimento scritto, quelli provati oggi sono i BLE 1301 (neri).
They work as normal decals, you just have to cut them at the desired lenght before putting them into water (my hands are medium/large and with a stripe - I used the black ones - I covered four nails, letting out thumbs). My suggestion is to work with one piece at a time, removing it from water as soon as you see that the decal is coming off the paper, then placing it on nail (I used tweezers); if you leave them dipped too much they tend to roll up when pulled out of water. Once in the right position (IMO this pattern works well with square/squoval tips) I pressed a little bit the decal on nail with a towel and once dry applied a coat of Essence Nail Art Sealing Top Coat.
I really love the result (and it made me "earn" some praises, too :-)), here are my pics!
PS: another thing I love of decals is that the removal is absolutely painless, they come off with polish (whereas stickers tend to be...well...sticky and - on me - remain glued to bare nails after removal, I hate that I have to scrape them off).
Funzionano come i decals normali, solo che prima di usarli li ho tagliati "a misura" (io ho le mani abbastanza grandi, con una striscia ho fatto le quattro unghie fotografate, lasciando stare il pollice). Suggerisco di lavorare con un pezzetto alla volta, immergendolo in acqua ed estraendolo appena si stacca dalla carta (ho usato un paio di pinzette per aiutarmi ad appoggiarli sulla punta dell'unghia - questo disegno secondo me va molto bene se si portano abbastanza squadrate); ho notato che se si lasciano troppo tempo in acqua tendono ad arrotolarsi su se stessi quando vengono tirati fuori (e poi è un macello cercare di staccarli). Una volta in posizione si preme delicatamente con un asciugamano ed una volta asciutto basta una passata di top coat (io ho usato l'Essence Nail Art Sealing Top Coat).
Mi è piaciuto molto il risultato (e più di qualcuno l'ha notato, facendomi i complimenti), a voi giudicare dalle foto!
Nota: un'altra cosa che apprezzo molto dei decals è che quando si toglie lo smalto vengono via senza fastidi anche loro, mentre gli stickers restano (almeno a me) ostinatamente attaccati all'unghia senza smalto e devo praticamente grattarli via.
